The EMPOWER awards took place at the end of the day alongside drinks and nibbles, and some fun on Mercedes Benz World’s racing simulators!
These worthy winners have impressed us with their dedication and teamwork, especially when overcoming challenging situations.
Here are the EMPOWER Awards results:
– Newcomer of the Year: Lucy Tilbury – Vistry
– Leadership in Finance Transformation: Mid and South Essex Council
– Team of the Year: Somerset Council
– Innovation and Supporting the Business: Louise Harris – Specsavers
– Manager of the Year: Maria Duke – Waltham Forest Council
Lesley Reeve, Chief Operating Officer at FISCAL said: “The Somerset Council Team had a number of challenges with unifying local authorities within the region, moving to a new ERP and the encompassing processes, and moving to FISCAL’s software platform, to name but a few. There were endless challenges, but they still managed to meet deadlines. While working with the team over the years, they have remained positive and successful, a clear indication of team strength and a progressive authority.”
The Vistry team have really taken to our software, and Lucy was instrumental in sharing her knowledge to the wider AP team, undertaking demos to help them.
Mid and South Essex Council have transformed their statement reconciliation process with the help of our solution. They adopted the process extremely well and are now managing close to their top 100 suppliers effectively.
Louise and the team at Specsavers have been extremely helpful in assisting FISCAL to improve our software. They regularly give in depth, useful feedback and respond fast to any queries.
Finally, Maria amazes us with her dedication. Waltham Forest are working tirelessly to bring in a new finance system, and Maria ensures that everyday business continues to run smoothly. She strongly advocates for her Accounts Payable team, ensuring they have solutions in place to perform at their best. Maria also manages three other teams alongside Accounts Payable.
